Learn how to finish your own needlepoint ornament!
In this class you will learn a no-glue lacing technique and only acid-free materials will be used, ensuring your needlepoint can be enjoyed for years to come. You’ll leave the workshop with a beautifully finished ornament and the confidence to try it again on your own!
No previous finishing experience is necessary. Class length is 2.5 hours and class size is 8 people.
Class Options:
- Sunday, September 13th - Round ornaments @5pm
- Monday, September 14th - Square ornaments @9am
- Monday, September 14th - Round ornaments @6:30pm
Participant Kit includes:
- matboard
- batting
- thread for finish stitching
- needles
What you need to bring:
- A stitched and blocked round or square canvas
- Backing fabric at least 1" larger than the stitched round
- Backing fabric at least 2" larger than the stitched square or rectangle
- Perle cotton or floss for cording. - One skein per color of perle or two per color of floss.
About Your Instructor
Julia Navik (on Instagram as fairlywell_handmade) loves seeing a needlepoint piece become a full finish. She is a lifelong crafter and believes that if you want to learn, it's all about having the right teachers.

**Parking in front of the store is limited (we have 5 spots.) There is free street parking on 18th street west of Durham and a paid parking lot to the right of the nail salon on 18th street.
