Using a silver or metallic colored pencil on dark needlepoint canvas is a great trick to see the grid intersections better.

How to Use It

• Apply Gently - lightly rub the pencil over the dark canvas intersections where you need more visibility.
• Stitch Over It - stitch as you normally would; the silver is designed to be covered by your stitches and won't show through.

Why It Works

• Creates Contrast. It temporarily lightens the dark value of the canvas, making the holes stand out.
• Harder Lead. Unlike soft graphite pencils, the harder lead doesn't smudge excessively and covers the canvas effectively without being too messy.
• Disappears. It's a temporary solution that gets covered as you stitch, saving your eyes from strain.
